Position Overview:

Responsible for developing and implementing Human Resources efforts for division employees encompassing employee relations, recruiting, performance management, organizational development, training, safety, workers compensation, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action.
Key Accountabilities:
Employee Relations
• Research, recommend and implement effective employee relations practices, policies and procedures which are progressive and positive in nature.
• Provide specialist advice on employment, performance management and legal matters as well as advice on implementation of Company policy.
Recruiting / Staffing
• Address human resource needs throughout the division office and functions to adequately ensure overall direction and goals of the organization are met.
• Identify, recruit and select managerial, professional, technical, skilled and administrative exempt and non-exempt personnel.

 Nature and Scope:
This position reports to the Division Director of Human Resources, and is involved in all phases of recruitment and employment of hourly, professional, managerial, and all other exempt and non-exempt team members for the site. This position may assist with or be engaged in the recruitment and employment of salaried personnel throughout the domestic Bussmann facilities and field sales. May assist with recruiting and managing the employment process for international salaried team members. Works closely with department managers to identify and select qualified candidates either internal or external to the company.
 
Participates in policy planning, formulation and implementation with other members of the Division Human Resources Staff. Contact with top management within the division, Corporate Human Resource function, vendors, media agencies and businesses outside the organization is necessary for success. Participates in developing and implementing Division policy with approval of the Division President and Corporate Guidelines.
 
This position provides generalist expertise, advice and counsel in areas Human Resources including compensation, benefits, labor relations, employment law, health and safety, workers’ compensation, organizational development, performance management, talent management, training, relocation, recruiting, and staffing.
Job Requirements :
 
• Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an HR related discipline, advanced degree preferred by not required.
• 2+ years previous HR generalist experience. 
• Experience working in a manufacturing based industry desired.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills a must.

Compensation Analyst

The Compensation Analyst recommends and provides guidance to managers on compensation by developing and administering the company’s pay philosophy and programs as well as analyzing compensation data and trends.This position ensures compliance with state and federal laws and provides support to company policies.
 
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Consult and advise  regarding compensation policy interpretation, new hire offers, promotions, market analysis, job evaluation, and other compensation projects and initiatives. Provide advice and analysis through the annual merit and reward process. Assisting the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs and policies.
2. Develop and document procedures to ensure compliance.   Educate and respond to queries from business leaders, managers, employees and HR support groups regarding compensation-related issues and compliance.
3. Review and prepare job descriptions in standardized form and determine market data for each   position.  Evaluate jobs and recommend pay to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness. Review proposals for new or revised position titles or job classifications and determine accurate market data and competitiveness while supporting the internal compensation structure.
4. Study labor market and compensation related trends by participating in various compensation/salary surveys. Audit jobs to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness to update and maintain the compensation structure.
5. Coordinate between HR systems to ensure that all systems meet compensation needs.
 
Qualifications
 
4-year college degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with 4+ years compensation and regulatory compliance experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
